What To Do
Have been feeling down for the past few days as the closure of the cafe drew near. Still couldn't accept the fact that everything would be over by next Thursday. Though I have planned to make a comeback, I don't really know when that day would arrive, if it ever. In fact, I was still unsure if I should try to set up another cafe as I have proven to be lousy at running one. Perhaps I should just forget about going into business again and just earn a salary instead. Perhaps I should just stick to teaching (something that I still feel comfortable doing) and forget about being a successful entrepreneur. Perhaps I should just......................................
2 of my ex-students who are now in Poly paid me sort of a farewell visit when they heard of the closure. Gave me some suggestions as to what I could do next. One suggested that I should go back to teaching or set up a tuition centre. The other one suggested learning the know-how of running a cafe by working in one and to set up my very own cafe again upon the completion of the training. The suggestions sounded sensible enough to me but I would still need more time to consider the options. My kids (actually they are not that young anymore) then suggested going for a show to cheer me up. Closed early for the day and headed for Plaza Singapura. Decided to watch 'Batman Returns'. Although the story was a bit long-winded, it was still worth the time spent. Felt better after the show but was still undecided on my next course of action. Well, at my age I'm a bit of a 'Dory' (as what some of my kids like to call me) and it would take some time for me to figure out what I should do or should not do. Any suggestion?
